System Features
AMP comprises six modules which can be customized to meet the specific aid management needs of each partner country. The modules are continuously upgraded and improved.

Aid Information Management

The Aid Information Module enables partner countries and donors to manage their aid portfolios. It facilitates collaboration among major stakeholders (government, donors, and partners) to provide timely, reliable aid information as well as identify funding gaps. In addition, the user-friendly interface and customizable workspaces allow users to view and edit activity information, perform keyword searches, and sort and filter activity portfolios.

Results:
  • Increased efficiency from decentralized team/individual portfolio management.
  • Time savings from automatic fiscal calendar, currency, and language conversions.
  • Increased transparency through secure donor access to information on financial flows and project monitoring.
  • Comprehensive planning using both "on-budget" and "off-budget" projects and aid flows.
  • Funding gap identification.

    Reports

The Reports Module reduces the transaction costs associated with preparing government and donor agency reports. Users can quickly create custom reports and export them to HTML, PDF, or EXCEL formats. Governments can then grant web-based access to these reports to donors and other stakeholders to provide timely, reliable, and transparent information. An Advanced Reporting module allows the creation of more sophisticated reports, including pivot tables and graphs.

    Results:
    • Reporting time and transaction costs decreased.
    • Reduced time spent responding to information requests due to ability of all stakeholders to generate their own reports.
    • Better-informed analysis and decision making.

    Monitoring and Evaluation

The Monitoring and Evaluation module enables results-based impact evaluation of projects and programs. The indicator-based project measurement and risk information charts help governments and donors to view development progress and areas for improvement, and take corrective action.

    Results:
    • Improved project performance due to better monitoring of progress and communication of delays and issues, so that they can be addressed in a timely manner.
    • Increased awareness of progress on aid effectiveness process indicators through Paris Declaration monitoring tools.
    • Improved risk assessment enabled by risk ratings for projects and programs.

    National Planning Dashboard

The highly flexible National Planning Dashboard allows users to link development projects to specific strategic objectives at the national, sectoral, regional, or other level. The dashboard also displays the performance of each segment of a national plan or strategy, leveraging statistics for project selection and decision-making on development priorities.

Other dashboards in AMP include Organization Profiles and the Results Dashboard, which provides summary information on output and outcome indicators such as the Millennium Development Goals.

    Results:
    • Enables identification of funding gaps, or misalignment with national priorities.
    • Simplifies assessment of progress toward high-level development goals.

    Document Management

The Document Management module provides centralized, electronic access to key documents such as national/sectoral planning, project appraisal, and project implementation documents. Documents can be shared within a team, or made accessible to the public.

    Results:
    • Improved communication and reduction in time spent managing documents.
    • Increased efficiency and reduced costs from electronic document storage and retrieval (no more file cabinets).

    Messages and Planning Calendar

The Messages module allows users to send and receive customized messages and alerts. Automatically-generated messages remind users of important upcoming dates or notify them of project approvals. Users can also send private messages to specific team members, improving communication and supporting business processes.

The Planning Calendar assists in the coordination of missions, site visits, budget reviews, program reviews, and workshops. The calendar improves the ability of donors and governments to plan joint missions and coordinate projects and programs.

    Results:
    • Increased efficiency and time savings in managing information.
    • Better communication and coordination, and increases in joint missions.
