An unprecedented and highly sensitive investigative report prepared for Iran's Parliament has detailed instances of corruption throughout the country's judiciary. But in an apparent political tug-of-war between rival Iranian leaders, the nearly 200-page document has been suppressed and never released to the public. The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) has given whistleblowers rewards for reporting corruption cases involving public officials, the spokesman said July 28.
Six people were given 88.2 million won in return for reporting corruption-related cases. The commission has collected 936.1 million won inappropriately given out since its launching in March and provided whistleblowers with 137.6 million won as rewards.

The IDS is currently seeking to recruit a Tutor for the MA in Governance and Development Programme. On May 1, 2008, the Regulations on Government Disclosure of Information officially took effect, making China one of 70 countries worldwide that has enacted comprehensive freedom of information (FOI) legislation.
