The Commission on Anti-Corruption of the International Chamber of Commerce has released new whisteblowing guidelines that implement one of the ICC Rules of Conduct on Combating Extortion and Bribery issued in 2005. These recommended in particular that
anti-corruption policies and codes adopted by enterprises should “offer confidential channels to raise concerns, seek advice or report violations without fear of retaliation.”

Government workers in China requested 85 percent of bribes in the country that were reported to BRIBEline - an international Web site that tracks corruption, a U.S.-based anti-corruption group said on July 15. BRIBEline — the Business Registry for International Bribery and Extortion — was set up in 2007 by TRACE International, a nonprofit membership association that helps companies combat bribery.
