Accra Agenda for Action
In March 2005 around 100 development actors—mainly ministers, head of agencies and senior officials—adopted an ambitious set of reforms in the Paris Declaration on Aid Effectiveness. Three and half years later, the same players are reconvening in Accra , Ghana , in September 2008 to review the progress of the Paris Declaration and address the challenges that lie ahead.

'This paper outlines urgent action necessary to address immediate challenges in Afghanistan and to avert humanitarian disaster. It does not seek to address all issues of concern but focuses on essential policy change in development and humanitarian spheres.

Africa Development Indicators 2007 provides the most detailed collection of data on Africa. It contains over 1,000 indicators covering 53 African countries. ADI provides data from 1960 to 2006 grouped into 14 chapters.

Africa-Brazil Cooperation Programme Newsletter
