Catalin AndreiCatalin Andrei, Director, Information Technology
Catalin’s role is to ensure the successful execution of Development Gateway’s mission through development and deployment of information and communications technologies. Catalin has a master’s degree in engineering from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées in Lyon, France. Before joining Development Gateway, he worked with Capgemini.

Nancy ChoiNancy McGuire Choi, Director of Operations
Nancy oversees the day-to-day management and strategic direction of DG's programs.  Her focus is on building high-performing teams, continuously improving our solutions and clients' experience, and managing the organization's strategic direction, budgeting, and results monitoring efforts.  Prior to joining DG in 2006, Nancy served as a senior information specialist at USAID's Office of U.S. Foreign Disaster Assistance.  Nancy holds a master's degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University, and a bachelor's degree from Harvard University.

Jennifer Cumiskey, Chief Financial Officer
Jennifer Cumiskey is responsible for providing hands-on management of all tasks related to finance, accounting and management reporting.  Prior to joining Development Gateway, Jennifer was CFO of Optima Direct, a major direct marketing agency of the Omnicom Group.  She also held senior management positions at WorldSpace and Verizon, and was a senior management consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers.  Jennifer holds a B.S. in accounting from University of Maryland, and an MBA with a concentration in finance from the George Washington University.

Stephen Davenport, Senior Director of Innovation and Partnerships
Stephen directs the Business Development/Innovation team at Development Gateway, which covers research and innovation, marketing and communications, and external partnerships. With over 10 years in the area of technology, aid management, and information transparency, Stephen has worked at the forefront of ICT4D innovation. His efforts have also led to contributions to international data standards such as the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI). Prior to joining the organization in 2000, he worked with the World Bank, IBM, Computer Associates, and BearingPoint, developing technology solutions for the public and private sector. He holds a master's degree in international business administration from Georgetown University, and a bachelor's degree from Washington and Lee University.

Gerhard PohlGerhard Pohl, Senior Director/Strategy Advisor
Gerhard is responsible for technical operations as well as the online procurement and knowledge communities programs. Prior to joining Development Gateway, he was sector manager for finance and private sector development in the Europe and Central Asia region office of the World Bank. Gerhard holds a doctorate.

Philipp AnokhinPhilipp Anokhin, Director of Engineering
With more than 10 years of experience in the field of information technology, Philipp has worked as a research assistant, adjunct professor, programmer, and senior software engineer. He holds a doctorate in information technology from George Mason University. He also has a bachelor's degree and master's degree in mathematics and applied mathematics from the Novosibirsk State University, Russia.

Benjamin ArancibiaBenjamin Arancibia, Technical Associate
Ben brings his research, data analysis, and GIS development knowledge to DG working on various parts of the new USAID contract, including rebuilding Aiddata, mapping, and data visualizations.. He joins from an IT Consulting company where he focused on GIS and Database Development for various United States Government Agencies. Ben was a former Aiddata Research Assistant at William and Mary where he obtained his B.A. in International Relations and a B.A. in Environmental Science and Policy.

Walter ArteagaWalter Arteaga, Senior Software Developer
Walter has several years of software development experience from working at Backus and Johnston Brewery, Unique S.A., and IBM. Previously, he was the project manager of a customer relations management system using voice as interface. Walter holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in software engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica, Peru.

Taryn DavisTaryn Davis, Associate
Taryn supports DG’s Aid Management Program. Previously, she was an Aid Management fellow in Lao, PDR and also worked with DG’s communications team. She formerly worked for the American Red Cross as the Service to Armed Forces Coordinator. Taryn received her bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University.

Riccardo de Marchi TrevisanRiccardo de Marchi Trevisan, Product Manager, Zunia, and Partnerships Manager
Riccardo is the Zunia product manager and Development Gateway's Partnerships Manager. Previously, he was in charge of AidData. He has a background in communications and marketing and holds a degree in international law from LUISS University in Rome, with a specialization in e- government for development, and an Executive Master of International Services degree from American University.

Vanessa GoasVanessa Goas, Senior AssociateProject Development 
Vanessa manages various programs within the Operations team, including field operations for all in-country geocoding efforts and projects in Kosovo, Honduras, and Moldova. Vanessa received a master of arts degree in international affairs and international development at George Washington University and holds a bachelor's degree in international relations from the University of Miami.

Dustin HomerDustin Homer, Associate
Dustin is a Development Gateway project manager with a strong monitoring and evaluation background. He is heavily involved in developing DG’s innovative results-based management information system and services. He also works on geo-referencing and visualizing development information and manages the Aid Management Platform in Nepal. Prior to Development Gateway, Dustin worked on impact evaluations with US-based evaluation firm Social Impact. He is also a co-founder and director of a Haiti-based community development NGO. Dustin has published peer-reviewed research on education-aid effectiveness and managed a groundbreaking randomized controlled trial on international law.

Djamila KerimDjamila Kerim,  Senior AssociateProject Manager
Djamila supports business development efforts. She is a member of both the aid effectiveness and dgMarket teams. Previously, she interned at the International Committee of the Red Cross where she conducted research on missing persons and their families. She has a bachelor's in international management and a master's degree in business administration from the School of Management and Communication, Geneva.

Rudolph PetrasRudolphe Petras, Senior Manager, Aid Management Services
Rudolphe oversees internationally the implementation of the DG aid effectiveness tools, the Aid Management Platform (AMP) and ODAdata, and manages all related services. Prior to joining Development Gateway in July 2007, he worked for the Development Assistance Committee of the OECD for ten years, focusing on aid effectiveness and aid statistics. He holds a master's degree in economics from the University of Paris I - La Sorbonne, and a master's degree in econometrics from the University of Paris X – Nanterre.

Christian PeratsakisChristian Peratsakis, Technical Associate
Christian is a technical associate working on AidData and the Aid Management Platform. He focuses on project management, technical implementation, and product innovation. Prior to joining Development Gateway, Christian was a Research Associate with the Climate Change and African Political Stability (CCAPS) program of the University of Texas-Austin, and a research fellow and project manager for AidData. He holds a BA from the College of William & Mary, and a Master's degree in Public Policy with a focus on international development from the University of Texas.

Josh PowellJosh Powell, Associate, Business Development
Josh leads DG's Innovation Team for the USAID Higher Education Solutions Network (HESN). Previously, he worked on business development for AidData and AMP, with an emphasis on aid effectiveness, transparency, and geocoding. Josh has led projects on three continents, working with the World Bank, African Development Bank, USAID, and AusAid, among others. Prior to joining DG, Josh was the AidData Geocoding Coordinator. He holds a BS in Finance from the University of Baltimore and a Master's degree in Public Policy with an emphasis in International Development from Brigham Young University.

Owen ScottOwen Scott, Associate
Owen Scott comes to Development Gateway with four years of field experience in Sub-Saharan Africa. Most recently, from 2009-2012, Owen worked on planning and results tracking in Malawi, Swaziland, and Lesotho with Engineers Without Borders Canada. Owen's writing on aid effectiveness has been quoted in many social and traditional media outlets, including the book Adapt: Why Success Always Starts With Failure by Tim Harford. Owen has a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from the University of New Brunswick and a graduate certificate in GIS from Penn State.

Bindu VenugopalBindu Venugopal, Technical Manager
Bindu focuses on product development and innovation at Development Gateway. She works as the technical manager for the Aid Management Platform, and has over 8 years of experience in software development and management. She has a wide range of country experience having worked in Malawi, Tanzania, Uganda, Nepal, Kosovo and Timor-Leste. Prior to joining the organization, she worked as a project leader for companies in India and the United States.  She holds a graduate degree in software programming and management and a bachelor's degree in electronic and telecommunication engineering from University of Pune, India.

WayanWayan Vota, Marketing and Communications Manager
Wayan is a leader in promoting the use of technology in international development and will position Development Gateway in the center of the discussions around Transparency and Accountability, Governance, and Open Data. Wayan joins DG from Inveneo, where he led the creation of ICTworks and expanded Technology Salons around the world. Wayan holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Central Florida and will complete an MBA at George Washington University in 2014.
